In 2003 the statue of Saddam Hussein was pulled down, Iraqis and members of the coalition celebrated together. However, the way the United States set about rebuilding Iraq was considered careless. The US-led coalition in Iraq could have drawn upon a vast pool of experience in dealing with the aftermath.
