Is diesel to blame for Indian pollution?
The past few months have seen a lot of attention on pollution in India’s cities – especially Delhi – with the role played by vehicles coming under particular scrutiny.
There have been trials restricting cars in the city, a temporary ban on the sale of large diesel vehicles, and plans to phase out diesel vehicles over 10 years old.
But is too much blame put on diesel?
One of the biggest producers of diesel engines in India is German company Bosch, so the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ's Shilpa Kannan caught up with Steffen Berns - President of Bosch India - to ask him if the criticism of diesel was fair.
