Greece Counts Cost of Migrant Crisis
As the migrant crisis deepens, we hear from Athens about the impact on the Greek economy.
Greece has recalled its ambassador to Austria amid sharp divisions among EU states over the migrant crisis. It came after Austria hosted a meeting with Balkan states on the migrant issue, a meeting to which Greece was not invited. Meanwhile, EU and Balkan interior ministers have met in Brussels to try to heal rifts over the migrant issue. We speak to Constantine Michalos, president of the Athens Chamber of Commerce, about the effect the deepening migrant crisis is having on Greek economy.
Migration is also a huge issue at the heart of the debate over whether Britain should leave the European Union. There has been plenty of speculation about what the UK's future outside the EU would look like. One country right in the heart of Europe could provide a few clues; Switzerland has never joined the EU club, but it does have a complex, and controversial, relationship with its 28 members. The Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ's Geneva correspondent Imogen Foulkes finds out more.
