Chirping for Ligo

After the announcement of the detection of gravitational waves, have you been wondering what they might sound like? Physicists have been posting videos online as they try to imitate the chirping sound the waves would theoretically produce. Check out #chirpforLIGO on Twitter.

This one is from a late-night Ligo party in Melbourne as Monash University physicists stayed up to watch the announcement by the Laser Interferometer Gravitational-Wave Observatory (Ligo).
