Innovation for spinal cord injuries

Scientists hope a device about the size of a matchstick will one day help people with spinal cord injuries get back on their feet. The stent-electrode recording array, or stentrode, could allow patients to control bionic limbs using only their thoughts.
Thomas Oxley is a neurologist at the Royal Melbourne Hospital in Australia and one of the researchers behind this device.
