Family breakdown should be considered as a public health issue by the government, the head of the Marriage Foundation has told us.

Paul Coleridge said divorce is a "scourge" in society and estimates its effects cost the taxpayer billions of pounds each year.

He has been to meet families who have been affected by divorce.
