The proposed EU reform deal could be a "win win" situation for the UK and the 28-member state bloc, Belgian MEP and former PM Guy Verhofstadt has said.

He told the Daily Politics the UK could get its "special status" inside the EU, while accepting that for other EU countries, there had to be "deeper integration" to combat the geopolitical crisis in the world.
