Transgender Jesus

The Octagon Unitarian Chapel in Norwich show a film of a controversial stage play which portrays Jesus as a transwoman.

In this first hour of the programme - Sheffield Celebration Choir, The Choir Of Westminster Central Hall and Christ Church Cathedral Choir sing our hymns and worship music this morning. The hymn of the week is a beautiful version by Fernando Ortega called 'O Sacred Head, Now Wounded'. We also hear the second part of our Lent series on the theme of pilgrimage - this week's story comes from the Reverend Kate Bottley who is the 'Goggle Box' vicar. Also, Anthony hears about 71 gravestones being moved at Caister-on-Sea's cemetery

From seven o'clock, Anthony hears about the launch of the European Referendum, Jay Shetty tells Anthony why he thinks Hinduism is the happiest of all the faiths and former GMTV vicar, Steve Chalke, explains why he thinks Christians have a lot to learn from Muslims.

In the final hour of the programme, Anthony hears about a new scheme which combines the work of foodbanks and the Citizens Advice Bureau, the Octagon Unitarian Chapel in Norwich explain why they are showing a film of a controversial stage play which portrays Jesus as a transwoman and Peter Aires, Regional Director of the Church's Conservation Trust, encourages us to try 'champing' (that's camping in a church!)
