Syrian Refugees
How the Syrian refugee crisis is affecting neighbouring economies. Plus, how Asians expelled from Uganda in the 1970s, became one of Britain's most successful immigration stories.
We speak to professor Scott Lucas, expert on the Middle-East economy at the UK's University of Birmingham, about what the Syrian war and refugee crisis mean for neighbouring economies of Turkey, Lebanon and Jordan. Also, Venetia Rainey reports from Beirut.
And Jaffer Kapasi, who arrived in the UK from Uganda aged 19 and now runs his own accountancy firm in Leicester, tells us how Asians fleeing the former dictator Idi Amin became one of Britain's most successful immigration stories.
