Should the UK take more refugees?

Labour MP Rachel Reeves backed calls from charities for the UK to take in 3,000 unaccompanied child refugees who have made it to Europe.

The former shadow welfare secretary said more children were at risk of trafficking β€œthe longer we prevaricate and delay”.

Conservative former Children’s Minister Tim Loughton said there was a β€œhumanitarian case” in favour of the move, but warned it was β€œfraught with problems” with a record number of UK children already in care and a shortage of foster carers.
