How Barbados emerged from a history of slavery to become a society of equality. Still dubbed 'Little England' the island of Barbados was the market place for selling Africans shipped from their homeland by the slave trade. Today, Barbados is independent, most of the country's politicians are black, and black Barbadians are represented in all walks of life. However there are questions as to the influence of white wealth on society.
