Madaya resident: Aid convoy βlike a resurrectionβ
One of the 40,000 people trapped in the besieged Syrian town of Madaya has described the arrival of an aid convoy as being βalmost like a resurrectionβ.
Speaking to reporter Mike Thomson for the Today programme, the resident said his family had been living on water, spices and grass before the aid arrived.
The atmosphere in the town was like a party, he said, although he cautioned that the food he received would be finished in 10 days.
