The Pygmy Music House
A look at the music of the Baka people in the forests of South East Cameroon
The Baka in South East Cameroon are excellent musicians. Rhythm and song permeate their lives and is used to enchant prey before the hunt, to cure illness and to settle disputes. A band called 'Baka Beyond' have been sampling their music and are now using proceeds from royalties to build a music house for the Baka in their village.
