The Birmingham Pub Bombings - 40 years on
Twenty-one people were killed and 182 were injured when the IRA bombed two Birmingham city centre pubs in 1974. Many of the victims were young people enjoying a night out with friends. It was one of the deadliest terrorist attacks in British history.
Exactly forty years on, on 21 November 2014, Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ WM broadcast a one hour documentary to commemorate this terrible event.
The first part of the programme was created as a real time minute-by-minute depiction of that night. The first bomb exploded at 8.17pm, with the second ten minutes later.
