Dorchester actor Paul Blake talks about his role in the original Star Wars film
Paul Blake from Charlton Down near Dorchester has spent the best part of 50 years working as an actor.
He’ll be best remembered though for a three week role he filmed in the summer of 1976 at Elstree studios near London. A role he took on the recommendation of his friend Anthony Daniels with whom he was working on Jackanory.
That film was Star Wars. Anthony Daniels played C-3PO, and Paul Blake played Greedo in the Cantina scene, a bounty hunter shot by Han Solo.
Four decades on, he’s still travelling the world talking about that film. Steve Harris went to meet him.
