Councillors have "rowed" over county budget cuts.
One of Northamptonshire's most senior councillors says it is a "very fractious time" at the county council, as millions of pounds of cuts are being planned.
Conservative councillor Andre Gonzalez de Savage, who oversees the fire service, which is facing a Β£1.3m cut as part of draft budget plans, says the cuts "will hurt" the service.
He says the service has done more to find "efficiencies" than other departments... and that there have been rows between councillors about where cuts should be made.
