She has one of the most powerful jobs in global finance. But now Christine Lagarde, head of the International Monetary Fund, has been called to face trial in France for alleged negligence. The case dates back to her days as French Finance Minister in 2008, when she approved a compensation payment worth more than 430 million dollars to the colourful tycoon Bernard Tapie. The payment stemmed from a deal allegedly mishandled by the bank Credit Lyonnais. We hear from the 麻豆约拍's Hugh Schofield in Paris with the latest.

The Colombian Government and the left-wing rebel army, the FARC, have reached a critical point in their peace negotiations in Havana, Cuba, aimed at ending 50 years of conflict. Our correspondent in Havana, Will Grant, was given an exclusive interview with the man known as Ivan Marquez, the leader of the FARC's delegation.

David Allen is the man who brought the world Getting Things Done or GTD. First published 13 years ago, it is a self-help guide to time management that has sold millions of copies, and is widely seen as the key to successfully coping with a complicated job. The tech magazine Wired described it as " A new cult for the info age" and to some it does seem almost cult-like. The author has since franchised seminars and courses on his method, so we find out if he is still GTD.
