Kamasi Washington: The Joy Of Sax
Jazz saxophonist Kamasi Washington on why he loves his instrument.
Kamasi was born in LA in 1981. In 1999 he was the winner of the John Coltrane Music Competition. His tenor playing has been compared to the great Albert Ayler. He has played with the likes of Snoop Doog, Lauryn Hill, Nas, Chaka Khan, Flying Lotus and Kendrick Lamar, and his recent solo album 'The Epic' has been highly acclaimed.
