Mexican designers hope to make it in Europe

Whilst some may think of Mexico in terms of stereotypes around tequila or sombreros, over the past decade creative industries have flourished in the country. They now contribute $89bn, or seven per cent of Mexico's entire economic activity. The Mexican government has begun promoting local companies that incorporate good design to overseas markets, in the hope they can reflect a more positive national identity. But will the plan work? The Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ's Vivienne Nunis went along to a recent event in London to find out.
