Julia Hartley-Brewer on wages and welfare
Tax credits were "supposed to be a safety net, not a tangled web" says Julia Hartley-Brewer.
The broadcaster and commentator was speaking after the votes in the House of Lords where peers have blocked cuts to tax credit changes.
In her personal film about safety nets and welfare, she says: "The truth is that many of the people who rely on tax credits aren’t poor because they earn low wages, but because of the choices they have made."
