All parties are now appealing to the public's thirst for change; even the ruling, military-backed Union Solidarity and Development Party is running with a slogan proclaiming that the country needs to "Move Forward". But how can it do so if the same figures who've presided over 25 years of repression have a chance of staying in charge? And what chance does Aung San Suu Kyi's NLD movement of gaining real power?
