‘Jets of frozen ice crystals' erupting

A fly-by of one of Saturn's moons will take place later this week. At approximately 1.272 billion kilometres from Earth, NASA will be plunging its Cassini spacecraft deep through a fountain of icy spray that is erupting from an ocean on the moon

The spacecraft will take samples as it flies though this plume of ocean-water to see if it harbours the ingredients for life. So what do we know about the moon Enceladus? Dr Curt Niebur is one of the NASA scientists on the project and told Newsday more.
