Turkey's Ruling Party Wins Election
What a renewed majority for the AK Party means for Turkey's economy, Indonesia's motorbike-taxi wars, and Lucy Kellaway on the scourge of wearable fitness devices.
Where now for Turkey? We examine the big win for the country's ruling party in parliamentary elections, and ask what that means for the country's fragile economy. Despite recent concerns over rising public debt, falling production, and - some say - an increasingly authoritarian President Erdogan, Brett Diment, head of emerging market debt at Aberdeen Asset Management, believes there are now grounds for optimism. Also in the programme, we have a report from Jakarta in Indonesia, where motorbike taxi price-wars have taken hold on the streets of the world's most congested mega-city. And Lucy Kellaway of the Financial Times vents her spleen on the scourge, yes the scourge (as she sees it), of wearable fitness devices.
