Tuberculosis is on the increase, despite it seemingly being eradicated by antibiotics. Although tuberculosis is common, most people who pick it up do not become ill. In fact on in three people worldwide have encountered TB and fought it off. HIV reduces immunity however, and it is currently killing three million people a year.
