The first current British track and field athlete to come out as gay has spoken exclusively to this programme.
Tom Bosworth – a race walker who holds the British record over 5,000 and 10,000 metres – says he feels now is the right time to come out, so that his preparations for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio are not affected.
His decision to publicly reveal his sexuality follows that of sports stars including diver Tom Daley and former footballer Thomas Hitzlsperger.
