These days lots of us dream of becoming self sufficient, with a small holding and a few chickens! But today could be the day you make that dream a reality. John Terry, who runs a poultry farm at Higham on the Hill near Hinckley, is having to sell 5000 hens for the bargain price of 拢2.50 per bird. He says he's being forced to do so because they've become old and are no longer producing the right colour eggs that sell. Despite this though they still have lots of laying potential as our reporter Jo Hollis has been finding out.
