Piers: Saving an icon of the British seaside

In their Victorian heyday, piers were fashionable, grand structures designed to allow access to healthy sea air and amusements - but now, many of the 57 remaining in England, Wales and Scotland are shadows of their former selves. Catrin Nye reports from Bognor Regis and Herne Bay Piers.
