Playing on the Street
Winifred Barber recalls the bustle on the roads in the early part of the 20th Century
"We children loved to play in the street with our friends. Of course it would be quite impossible to do this today, but in 1912 things were very different."
At 92 Winifred Barber recalls with vivid detail the bustle of life on the roads in the early part of the 20th Century when the horse and cart were the main form of transport and where children played freely.
