First FAO report on Global Food Insecurity
UN Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) issues its first report on global food insecurity and finds that nearly 800 million people are undernourished. This number has dropped by 40 million but this is not enough to meet the World Food Conference target of a 50% reduction by 2015.
