Vatican Radio is broadcasting Jubileum – "The Holy Year Live" – to the world
Vatican Radio is broadcasting Jubileum – "The Holy Year Live" – to the world in two programme streams: one in Italian, French and English, the other in Spanish and Portuguese. The station was launched in 1931 by Pope Pius XI and the inventor of radio, Guglielmo Marconi. Now it is using the historic moment of 2,000 years of Christianity to transform itself, using an interactive multimedia approach involving TV, print and the internet.
