World Telecommunications Day celebrates 123 years of invention
On 17 May, it's World Telecommunications Day and the theme this year is 'The transfer of technological knowhow in the age of electronics'. The laying of the first fibreoptic transatlantic cable recently is a measure of how far telecommunications has come in the 123 years since the first international agreement was signed.
