US Territory Puerto Rico Defaults on its Debt

Caribbean island Puerto Rico fails to hit debt deadline and how Polish apple farmers are coping with a Russian ban on EU food imports.

The US territory Puerto Rico missed a crucial debt deadline at the weekend. The Caribbean island managed to pay only $628,000 dollars of $58m due. It said it just Puerto Rico has debts of over $70bn. The territory's governor says that is unaffordable and wants them to be reduced. We take a look at the background to the problems facing the "Greece of the Caribbean".

The US airline Delta is just one of several to ban the shipment of big game trophies after widespread anger at the shooting of Cecil the lion in Zimbabwe. We ask if this will be enough to deter hunters.

Also on the programme, it is more than a year since Moscow imposed a ban on EU food products in response to Western sanctions over the Ukraine crisis.
