Is This Thing On?
An isolated horror fan announces that he's going to kill himself live on webcam. Will the people he meets online be able to save him?
Horror aficionado Jay used to make quirky remakes of his favourite films with his friend Reena. Before she got new friends. Now, feeling increasingly isolated Jay decides to put on a special, one-off show, and announces that he is going to kill himself live on webcam. As an eclectic collection of people starts to tune in, the debate rages: is it all a stunt, or is he for real? And if he does intend to go through with it, can they, his viewers, reach out across the internet, and save him from himself? A bold and affecting story, this short examines how we can make connections in the online age.
