Sunscreen warning: β€˜Skin cancer led to epilepsy’

There is huge confusion over the labels on sun creams and manufacturers should all use the same rating system, says the Royal Pharmaceutical Society. A survey of 2,000 UK adults found one in five was unaware that the SPF rating only referred to protection from UVB rays, while a β€œstar” rating indicated that against UVA. However, both types of ray can cause skin cancer. Justine Sheils told the programme that her ignorance of sun lotion and sun beds had led to skin cancer and, in turn, epilepsy.
