Do children have too much homework?

The role of Children's Commissioner was created 11 years ago, following a recommendation from the United Nations and in the wake of the Victoria Climbie case, the eight-year-old girl who died after months of abuse and neglect by her aunt.

There are separate Children's Commissioners for England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Anne Longfield began her job as the new commissoner for England in March 2015.

In her first television interview, she joined an audience of young people aged 13-18-years-old to discuss the issues that matter to them – including homework levels.
