UKIP鈥檚 Deputy Chairman Suzanne Evans has denied plotting against party leader Nigel Farage.

UKIP has had a turbulent time since the election, with the party鈥檚 economic spokesman Patrick O'Flynn apologising and resigning from his post after calling Mr Farage "snarling, thin-skinned and aggressive".

Ms Evans is also no longer in her post as the party鈥檚 head of policy but insisted that this was the result of the ending of a contract, rather than a reaction to any briefing against her leader.

鈥淭he only person who has plotted against Nigel Farage鈥檚 leadership is Nigel Farage himself, by offering to resign if he didn鈥檛 win his Westminster seat鈥�, she said.
