Uighurs in Kazakhstan Blend Different Cultures
The Uighur Muslims living in Kazakhstan have managed to mix their Sunni Muslim faith with elements of their traditional culture, and Central Asian culture. Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Persian’s Rustam Qobil is from neighbouring Uzbekistan. He joins some Uighur women as they make their annual New Year’s meal, and sees rituals from his own upbringing.
