Ancient Syrian City in Peril from Islamic State
Palmyra is one of the greatest archaeological sites in the Middle East. But on its doorstep are fighters from the self-styled Islamic State who've already made it clear what they think of other ancient artefacts by destroying many of them. So just how important a site is Palmyra? Edith Hall, professor of Classics, King's College, London explains its significance.
