More young people are at risk of dying from inhaling nitrous oxide after an 鈥渆xplosion鈥� in its recreational use, doctors have warned.

Also known as 鈥榟ippy crack鈥� or 鈥榣aughing gas鈥�, the vapour is now the second most popular recreational drug for young people after cannabis, with use among 16-24-year-olds up 6% from 2013-2013.

The Royal College of Paediatrics says people need to be more aware of the risks of inhaling it.
