More images of child abuse are being stored on easily accessible photo sharing websites, says a child-abuse watchdog.

The Internet Watch Foundation (IWF) said almost two-thirds of the 31,000 links to obscene material it identified in 2014 related to so-called image hosting sites.

Some 80% of the illegal content it discovered reportedly features children under the age of 10.

The IWF鈥檚 Emma Hardy says the group work hard with the police: It helped identify and remove more than double the number of sexually explicit web pages depicting youngsters in 2014 than in the previous year.

But the problem was a global one that needed to be tackled internationally, she said.
