Pianist Leif Ove Andsnes on Beethoven
The Norwegian pianist Leif Ove Andsnes has been on a 'Beethoven journey' playing the composer's five piano concertos around the world over the last four years.
Andsnes, who won Recording of the Year at the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Music Magazine Awards for his Beethoven Piano Concertos, described his interest in Beethoven's music.
"There is no other music that is so sincere, he doesn't hide his emotions.... he builds these organise structures, but he's so irrational you never know what will happen round the next corner," he said.
