The European Union's competition commissioner Magrethe Vestager has filed a complaint alleging Google has been abusing its dominance in internet searches. Complaints have been made since 2010 by companies who feel that Google is using its near universally-used search engine to stifle competition in other areas, and now the EU is stepping in. Protests in America are gathering pace demanding a minimum wage of $15 an hour. 鈥淔ight for 15鈥� once represented mainly fast food workers but has since expanded, picking up support from other low earners such as home health care workers. Several large employers have pledged to raise their minimum pay levels, but it falls far short of Fight for 15鈥檚 target.
