Can Mindfulness Help Teenage Boys?
Mindfulness therapies are increasingly being taken up as the means of dealing with the pressures of modern living. Some schools are now also offering these techniques, such as the Hampton School for boys in Southwest London. They've put an eight-week mindfulness course on the curriculum for their pupils for 14 to 15 year olds. Headmaster Kevin Knibbs believes mindfulness will give boys 'a toolkit for the rest of their lives', and says it's had a positive impact on the atmosphere and community of the school.
