In the aftermath of the Germanwings crash in the French Alps, several airlines have adopted procedures already established in the United States. A mandatory second person will be in the cockpit when one of the pilots leaves. We hear from Captain Mike Vivian a former Head of Flight Operations at the Civil Aviation Authority.

Oil prices have jumped as the Saudi-led operation against Houthi rebels in Yemen continues. On Friday Arab leaders will gather in Egypt to discuss the latest turmoil in the Middle East. Mohammad Taha from the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Arabic Service gives us the latest.

We also hear from Leila Zerrougui, the UN's Special Representative for Children and Armed Conflict. She has been speaking at a special conference in New York which discussed the way young people pay a disproportionate price for the violence brought on them by adults.
