Yesterday reigning world champions England beat Scotland 42-13 in the women’s Six Nations championship. The tournament runs concurrently with the men's but the amount that is reported and broadcast still lags a long way behind other women's team sports like football, netball and cricket. Sara Orchard has been asking why.

Katy McLean is the England rugby captain and she told Sara:

‘For us we’re working really hard to be a game that’s a very marketable game…we want to reach a point where all women’s games are televised. Katy added: ‘You’ve just got to hope people get on board and keep supporting it’.

Philip Bernie is Head of TV Sport at the Â鶹ԼÅÄ:

‘There’s room for improvement for us and the unions to work together and see how we can find space for more… it’s just then seeing how the schedule can attract the best games at the right time for us to cover.’
