Sir Peter O'Sullevan: 'AP McCoy one of the greats'
Race commentator Sir Peter O'Sullevan spoke to Garry Richardson ahead today's Gold Cup at the Cheltenham Festival.
Sir Peter recalled the first bet he made, winning on the 100-1 Tipperary Tim at the 1928 Grand National.
Asked about AP McCoy, Sir Peter said he was amongst the greats comparing him to Lester Piggott.
"He'd be very high indeed, but that's a very difficult to quantify, the greatest jockeys; the best thing is to relish their talent while they're with us and not try to compare them", he said
