Dame Evelyn Glennie: 'I'd like to collaborate with Eminem'

The Polar Music Prize is Music's equivalent of a Nobel Prize; the Scottish Percussionist Dame Evelyn Glennie has been announced as this year's winner.

Colin Paterson went to meet her in her Huntingdon home, where she told him how she made it as the the first person in history to have a full-time career as a solo percussionist.

Dame Evelyn who has been profoundly deaf since the age of 12 spoke about how she hears music.

"There's no such thing as total deafness, if the body can feel, that is a form of hearing, sound is vibration."

She also revealed who she'd most like to collaborate with.

"I've always fancied collaborating with Eminem, it's an attitude thing I like about him, I feel he's really pushed the boundaries".
