Jack Straw responds to 'cash for access' allegations

Jack Straw and Sir Malcolm Rifkind, both former foreign secretaries: Jack Straw for a Labour government and Sir Malcolm for a Conservative government, deny any wrongdoing in new 'cash for access' allegations.

Both stand accused of having offered to use their positions as politicians on behalf of a fictitious Chinese company in new wrongdoing allegations, arising from a joint investigation by the Daily Telegraph and Channel 4's Dispatches.

Jack Straw said he followed 'strict government rules'."I have absolutely kept to not only their letter, but to their spirit", said Jack Straw.

The MPs have referred themselves to the Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards.
