Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Taster and Dating
We get a flavour of Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Taster, the new place for you to try out and tell the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ what you think of their ideas. And is talking dating too 'tabloid' for the World Service?
This week the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ launched Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Taster - a new space online for you to try out their new ideas and then rate them, share them, and tell the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ whether you liked them or not. They want the audience to be creative collaborators, meaning you get your say about new programme ideas, digital developments, presenters and comedy acts before they are the finished product. Rajan Datar speaks to Eleni Sharp, one of the project leaders.
Also, dating tips on the World Service. Some in the audience asked: is this news? after World Update featured an interview with a woman who went on 60 dates in 6 weeks and then compiled a list of the mistakes she found all the men she dated made. The editor of World Update, Ian Brimacombe, joins Rajan to discuss the news value of the piece and how competing for audiences online makes attention-grabbing stories vital.
