Crisis point has been reached for cathedral repairs and Canon Nick, the treasurer, can only hope his application for a staggering Β£12 million Heritage Lottery Grant is successful. The cathedral gears up for the busiest and most important festival of the year – Easter – and the Archbishop of Canterbury reaches out to austerity Britain before his famous Easter sermon.
